Manicures

I was thinking about starting get manicures but don't know anything about them! I've had gel and acrylic nails in the past but found it was expensive to have the infills done and my nails were horrible when I had them taken off. I also don't really want long nails just nice nails ha ha

Could I have shellac? How long does this last?

I know this isn't important but just wanted to do something nice.

I have gels on my nails and at time when I have taken a break, eg in lockdown, my nails are a bit thin and need more care and a good base coat.
I just have them redone every three weeks and they are always perfect. It takes about 45 minutes and costs £25 each time including soak off any new gels. Acrylics are much more time consuming and expensive if you nails aren’t long or strong enough for just gel polish.

Hope that helps.

Thank you that's really helpful. 3 weeks sounds a good length of time for them to last.
