Dungarees for the long of body

Can anyone recommend black denim dungarees for someone with a long body / short legs? I’m 5 feet 5 so not tall or petite. I’ve tried lots of pairs but find they cut me in two and the bib part doesn’t come up to the right place on my chest. Looking for some with slim legs.

I have this problem, but maybe not to the same extent as you have. I have found only two pairs; one Lucy & Yak and one from the Brighton Boutique, I forget what their real name is but if you Google that you'll find them (I've messed up my phone by choosing a setting that means I can't have more than one page open at a time and I can't go back, so I can't look it up, sorry). I also tried ones from Toast. They were very generously sized but looked ridiculous on me.

I also find the top I wear under them is a strong factor in whether they move the right way when I go to sit, in that some thicker knits seem to grab hold of the material so that it hoiks up uncomfortably.

I have this problem with dungarees and jumpsuits and usually just size up. It doesn't always work though and there's a bit of trial and error. I've got black denim ones from Matalan that I love but I've had them a while now and they're out of stock sorry! I'd just order a selection from ASOS and try them on. Could you get a Tall pair and roll them up a the bottom?

@dudsville I’ll try those two suggestions. I’m small (size 6) so Toast will look ridiculous on me - plus they’re a bit pricey. Hope you manage to sort your phone!

@CremeDeSudo a tall pair would need to be rolled up too many times I think!

I’ve got a long body too and just got a pair of Run and Fly dungas. They are the best fitting ones I’ve ever had, sit just in the right place. I found Lucy and Yak good too, but a bit tight around the bits. Also if you’re brave and the legs are too long you can just cut a couple of inches off and then roll so they’re not too bulky.

@LauraPalmerViolet the run and fly ones are baggier than I was looking for although they are very nice
