Women's shorts briefs?

Ijustneed · 22/09/2020 22:02

I'm looking for some jersey shorts as the elastic in briefs digs into my skin and irritates my very sensitive skin (it's not a size thing, I've tried going up a size, but it's the elastic that irritates me).

Can anyone recommend any? I can't get to the shops, so need to be able to buy online. I'd like cotton ones that look like these in the photo (the style, not the colour). I'm a size 16.

I thought about buying men's ones, but I don't want the pouch bit or buttons and I've also no idea what size to get.

Thanks.

Uniqlo has shorts very like these - I have lots and they’re very comfortable. Also Hema, gap and H&M sometimes do similar, but Uniqlo always have them.

Thank you thank you

I also have the problem if elastic irritating my skin and the shirts I've bought so far have a minute gusset

WhereAreWeNow · 23/09/2020 09:09

Uniqlo definitely do these.

I actually like the design upthread as we love bears

I have worn mens boxers to bed for years, womens pants are so uncomfortable to sleep in! I find womens boy shorts ride up so they don't fully cover my but. BUT I found these and they are great! They come in differant lengths (I have the 4.5 trunk). They don't ride up, they stay put and are so comfortable! They are quite pricey (delivery from america) but well worth it!

I know you said you didn't want mens but I buy these - there are no pouches and the cotton is really soft- also as PP mentioned, don't ride up like womens 'boy shorts' style can

Thanks for all the suggestions. The Amazon ones look great but are nylon, and may make me sweaty. The men's ones at M&S have buttons, don't they dig into you? Also not sure what size to order. The uniqlo ones look like quite low rise, not sure I'd like that .. I've been wearing big pants!

I've ordered a pair from Myoddballs to see what they're like.

I don't dislike the bear design in my original post, just hoped for some recommendations before ordering.

The buttons don't dig in I find, they are positioned quite high and are only small. They are quite stretchy - I am a size 18/20 and the L are good- I accidentally bought the XL once and they were too large so I reckon M would be good for you- or maybe even small- they are quite reasonable too so not too bad if they don't work out- very comfy for sleeping in too

LadySeaThing · 23/09/2020 16:00

You could probably just snip the buttons off very easily.

I'm wearing uniqlo ones today and they come up to just above my bellybutton, if that's useful!

Ijustneed · 04/10/2020 15:16

I bought a pair from Oddballs and they're quite comfy. The Sloggi ones I bought still dig in.

I don't have these but they caught my eye because they look amazingly comfy.

Theses from h&m are very comfy.

homemadecommunistrussia · 05/10/2020 15:20

I know you asked for shorts, but I have trouble with elastic in knickers and found these on amazon which are nice and soft without any elastic around the legs.

bitheby · 05/10/2020 15:48

I get mine from Boux Avenue.

The best ones I've ever had were Calvin Klein but I got from TK Maxx as they would otherwise be pricey.
