Work trousers for pear shapes

Does anyone know where I can get black work trousers for a pear shape?

If they fit my waist I can't get them over my thighs and if they fit my thighs the waistband is massive.

Hips and thighs a size 14 but waist nearer a 10.

Jeans are a no no unfortunately 😫

My usual refrain on such posts, from long experience:
a) Get a larger size tailored at the waist
b) Go for elasticated waist style. Lots around at the moment. COS has been good for me for this in the past.

I get mine from M&S. I'm a 26in waist and 41in hips Blush but I can fit comfortably into a size 10 from there without it gaping too much at the waist.

M&S trousers can work, but I find they shrink a lot in the wash.

I find Boden's Bath bi-stretch fit beautifully with the side zip.

Boden, the stretch trousers fit me perfectly and my waist is far smaller than my hips

I'm with @thedevilinablackdress - buy the ones that fit your hips, and get the waist altered. It's a quick job for the tailor and makes the trousers really comfortable. It's not an expensive job either.

And I almost always only buy trousers with belt loops. A belt helps.

Having said all of that I recently bought these trousers from Zara and I love them. They're a great fit on me ( a goodly pear) and very flattering. Being Zara, I don't know how well they'll wear but they're so good I'm happy to repurchase.
