Looking for a checked coat - care to help me please?

I'd love a big check coat - burgundies, pinks or greens, high street budget, must have some wool in it! Any ideas gratefully received.

I saw a GORGEOUS MIU MIU black check coat, I want it so badly, was nearly two thousand euro but it was fantastic. It was vivienne westwood esque. I think.

What is the minimum amount of wool before a coat starts to look cheap and feel horrible? It’s really hard to tell from online photos.

I noticed a lovely Schneider check coat in the local posh clothes shop, but I turned my back resolutely. If I needed a new coat, it would have tempted me.
