Totally clueless. Autumn / winter casual clothes

I need to update my clothes. Hardly ever buy new clothes but would like to look less shabby. I have about £100 from my birthday to update my wardrobe. Looking for casual stuff as never go to posh places (thanks Covid) and am sorted for work (uniform or I have a couple of outfits for when I need something smart).

I really don’t care about fashion but even my children have now told me it’s time for new clothes Blush. Current look is faded jeans and a waterproof coat that has holes in but I was waiting for the end of the summer and will buy a new one next year.

I like jeans and a top. Nothing that shows my legs but happy to wear something with tights / leggings. £100 seems a huge amount of money to waste on clothes but at the same time not enough to get enough pieces.

I’m 40, 5ft 3 and a size 8-10 but apple shaped so needs to be flattering round the tummy.

Can’t try anything on (Covid rules) and shopping seems such a hassle these days so don’t know where to start. Just get some jeans and some tops? Don’t want to spend loads on jeans that I can’t try on that will just get holes in the knees anyway. But the zips always seem funny in cheap jeans.

Or go with something different?

Thanks!
