Dry shampoo for curly hair?

BunnyLovesBananas · 20/09/2020 22:27

I have curly hair and don't often have need for a dry shampoo as I try to wash my hair every two days but occasionally I do want something to freshen up in between or want to leave my hair an extra day.

I don't think dry shampoo works on curly hair as I could brush it through or rub it through too much... or does it?

Tressemme release dry shampoos a few years ago and I think they included some kind of wet / foamy refresh product for curly hair. I can't remember what it was like.

Any recommendations or advice?

I would just try to refresh curls - I usually do it with a bit of water and a blob of conditioner. gives my curls another day of live until wash day. besides, don't you have to brush dry shampoo out? I can only detangle curls on wash day with conditioner on. I could not brush then in between (and if I did, the look would look hideous)

Yes exactly I wouldn't brush my hair when it's dry but maybe I could use dry shampoo and rub it away without ruining my curls...

I feel like refreshing it is a different thing. I almost want something to use on the second night when I can't be bothered to wash it to feel a bit cleaner and get rid of any oil and sweat - it's more my scalp that I want to refresh... Sounds weird to put it in black and white.

That Tresseme wet shampoo is the type of thing I feel I'm after.

might depend on the curl (I am 3B/3C) and could definitely not rub anything out.

I am similar (3a and 3b I think) and I'm also thinking I would ruin my hair just lifting up my curls to get to my scalp properly in the way I'd use dry shampoo on straight hair IYSWIM

do you use one of those scalp massagers when washing your hair? I do and it seems to help my scalp.

I recently bought one and tried it once but keep forgetting to take it in the shower with me! Hmm

I will try it again if you think it helps
