Support Slippers

Hi, I’m having terrible problems with my feet, a ligament injury and now joint pain in big toe, possibly gout. I really need some nice slippers that have support in them for the arch but Google is showing some suitable for my Mother (who is 83!) or Birkenstock’s, which I’ve never got on with.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I’ve got fitflops and Archies but really want a slipper. Anyone tried Mahabis? I can’t tell from the write up if they’ll be supportive enough.

Thanks

I can recommend Nordika's slippers for good support, such as these:

Fit Flop slippers are fantastic. I have rheumatoid arthritis which has destroyed my feet and plantar fascitis but FFs are so comfortable. I love their shoes and boots, too.

I had some trouble with plantar fasciitis a few years ago and the Moshulu slippers with the slight wedge heel were helpful.

Skechers make slipoers, not cheap but if they are as comfortable as their shoes & trainers I would consider them.

Vionic are worth a look - my sister suffers with plantar fasciitis and bought some of their slippers and says they're fantastic.

Crocs with a soft, washable lining are bliss for my joint and ligament problems. So supportive and cushioned and don’t slip off. They look grim but they are the best I’ve found

I have a pair of ASICS trainers that I wear inside as my ortho said fit flops, crocs and sketchers have no way enough support.

Another vote for fit flop slipper. I have worked from home for years and these are amazing to keep my arches supported

My mum gave me some Ugg boots a few years ago which she had bought but didn’t like, and they were the BEST slippers. Cosy, comfy, and fine to go out and shout for the cat in. When they wore out I asked for recs on here and got some very similar sheepskin boots from Costco which were about £25. These are on their third year now.

I wear crocs in the house. They really improve my stability.
