Comfortable small earrings

Can anyone recommend some gold earrings that are comfortable enough to sleep in?

Just something subtle that will make me look more put together.

I hope someone has good answers. I occasionally google for 'sleepers' because I'm sure that's what they were called back in the day. Obviously they're called something else now because I've had no joy from searching.

Earring backs are so long and poky these days.

GinandGobbledegook · 17/09/2020 21:40

I've been doing the same as that's what I thought they were called but had no luck.

Have you tried andralok back ones?

pongopig · 17/09/2020 21:42

Try searching for huggies

Puffincino · 17/09/2020 21:43

Never heard of this. Looks like they're mostly nose studs on the first page. Are they comfy as earrings?

Onekidnoclue · 17/09/2020 21:47

I sleep with a few of these in.

Labrets with flat backs. I find the silicon ones comfiest, I think if you Google bioflex. Piercingmania are doing 14ct gold bioflex labrets at the moment.

I've got a couple of pairs that are comfortable enough to sleep in. Not special ones, just seem to be less sharp!

BluebellsGreenbells · 17/09/2020 21:54

You need sterile earrings. They’re really cheap! Try eBay.

Rina66 · 17/09/2020 21:57

I’ve got this style in silver, really comfortable to sleep in uk.missoma.com/products/gold-chubby-huggies?storeRedirect=UK¤cy=GBP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjfP1t4nx6wIVk-ntCh2k3AXeEAQYASABEgLx_fD_BwE

You could try one of the jewellery finding shops. I used to wear sleepers years ago but just everyday studs now I make my own and personally I don't find the posts too long to sleep in.

These look like sleepers but are gold filled and relatively inexpensive to try out:

Or they have 14 carat gold ones: www.thecuriousgem.co.uk/14k-gold-findings/14k-gold-ear-hoops-12mm.html

Huggies!!! They are small hoops slightly chunkier than a sleeper that 'hug' your earlobes. Oliver Bonas sell them

JoJoSM2 · 17/09/2020 22:00

Do you really find it that much hassle taking earrings out and putting them in? Can’t possibly take more than 10 seconds...

EasilyDeleted · 17/09/2020 22:02

Yes, Huggies are small hinged sleepers.

peppapigonaloop · 17/09/2020 22:02

have a look at seol+gold they have lovely studs and huggies I sleep in mine always.

Austereorange · 17/09/2020 22:03

I must have very resilient ears - I sleep on my left and on that side I have 6 piercings which I don’t remove.

In my lobes the favourites are huggies or sleeper hoops with a dangling charm. Just because they move a bit.

I have a lot from ‘pinch and fold’ who offer nice mismatched pairs hoops.

GinandGobbledegook · 17/09/2020 22:05

Perfect, thank you everyone. That's given me loads of options. I wish I'd come here first Grin

Turns out you can still get sleepers from argos and h Samuel's, which is where I used to get mine when I was 15!

doublecheeseburgermediumfries · 17/09/2020 22:08

I got some huggies from Orelia in their sale and have slept in them with no issues.

Huggies are hugely popular atm! You can get plain ones or jewelled ones. If money was not a huge issue I would treat myself to some Astrid and Miyu or Edge of Ember ones 😍😍

BlackCatsRule88 · 17/09/2020 22:09

I got some very small studs from Claire’s Accessories that are really comfy (and I don’t think they make me look like a tween...)

Justnormajean · 17/09/2020 22:13

These are cute, maybe a little expensive but Christmas is coming Grin
