Best bra for the fat woman with large breasts?

SuperEkstra · 16/09/2020 18:47

At this point I don't care if it's attractive. I can't deal with underwires digging into me any more, but I have large breasts and I am fat, with rolls on my back.

Has anyone got any tried and tested recommendations? The constant discomfort has started to get me down

Sorry OP, I am going a bit doolally, the brand is actually called "Miss Mary of Sweden"!

Anita non wired cotton bra from Figleaves. Expensive and not pretty but so comfortable. Can't remember the name but cost £43 and comes in nude, black or white.

If you're fairly short, 5'4" or under a bandless bra works well. As a shorter person tends to have a shorter torso you just end up with too much material under the boobs. Elomi does them.

I adore panache tango - they are under wired but are so comfortable and supportive. I'm a 36JJ and it's completely changed my life. They sell them at Bravisismo

Interestingly, I got a bra in the new, suggested B or B size (36K) and the cups are massive! The band was okay at 36, but if the one I'm wearing now (with the underwires that dig into my armpits) is a 40DD, what do you guys suggest I try??

I'd keep at 36 band but try smaller cup sizes. What's your over bust measurement?

LightOfAThousandStars · 24/09/2020 14:27

Curvy Kate bras, once you have the right size they are very comfy. You can contact their Bra Whisperer through their website who gives advice on the best size and style for you from their range.

SuperEkstra · 24/09/2020 14:33

@dementedpixie with my bra on 45.2!

Measure without the bra

SuperEkstra · 24/09/2020 17:09

@dementedpixie 46.8" without bra

That suggests a G/GG cup which would be quite a few sizes less than BOB have advised. Is it possible for you to buy the bra you are trying on in a GG and possibly a H?

dementedpixie · 25/09/2020 12:29

So that's roughly 11 inches difference?
A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J
Looking at GG to H cup then

I like elomi. I machine wash them on the handwash cycle and they last for ages but I never tumble dry.they are underwired though
