Pretty nighties - do they exist??

Anyone know where I can get some nice nighties? That don’t have slogans on about being lazy, or Winnie the Pooh, and don’t make you look like a prostitute in flimsy lace and see through bum-cheek-skimming fabrics.

Just nice but still comfy! I’m really struggling!

Thanks in advance :)

I own all of them btw - all wash well

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 14/09/2020 17:24

I've had a few nice ones from very, just plain black ones think they were pour moi or something like that.

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 14/09/2020 17:26

No sorry those ones might fall in to your "prostitute" category Blush but they do have some other nice ones too

linerforlife · 14/09/2020 17:27

I got really nice ones recently from Shein. Cotton, knee length column type skirt with a little bit of lace round the top part which was a vest style. Loads of colours. Lovely!

Pollaidh · 14/09/2020 17:35

The White Company is the best place for nice sleep wear - jersey and lace nighties, silk nighties, cotton nighties, plus loads of pyjamas too. On the expensive side, but the sales are good.

NothingTraLaLa · 14/09/2020 17:44

I've got this one from Cyberjammies. It is slightly see-through but they do darker colours as well which might not be.

TokyoSushi · 14/09/2020 17:46

Agree with The White Company, my best nightie is from there!

Redcrayons · 14/09/2020 17:47

Normally I recommend a browse at TK Maxx for nighties, they have loads, as most of mine are there. No idea what the shop is like these days. B

FatGirlShrinking · 14/09/2020 17:48

Sainsbury's have some nice ones and I always find the quality good

I’m a cyber jammies fan too, I have a couple of those chemises in different prints and the not-white background is transparent.

Got some lovely pyjama bottoms in the sale too, just waiting for the heatwave to end so I can wear them!

WitsEnding · 14/09/2020 17:52

*is not so transparent, sorry 😐

WhereAreWeNow · 14/09/2020 17:53

I've got a nice cotton M&S one. Also some nice Gap ones but they're v short. There's a company on Etsy that does lovely Edwardian lace cotton type nighties.

jcurve · 14/09/2020 18:13

Cyberjammies & Debenhams, and if you have the budget, Toast.

Bloodylovecheese · 14/09/2020 18:42

Look at Powell Craft...they do lovely ones

SorrelForbes · 14/09/2020 19:22

Zara Home does some nice nightwear.

For more traditional nighties try Cologne and Cotton

Sunflower101 · 14/09/2020 19:53

A bit expensive but if budget allows try David Napier website. Made in England too which is good.

Dreamingofcreamcakes20 · 14/09/2020 19:56

Highly recommend this M&S one

AnnaSW1 · 14/09/2020 20:01

I haven't looked recently but I'd say the white company

DelphiniumBlue · 14/09/2020 20:01

Cyberjammies.
I bought this one at the start of lockdown, have worn it almost every night since then because I love it so much and it is so cool and comfy, have washed it loads (daily at some points) and it looks like new. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I've got this [[https://www.johnlewis.com/jigsaw-lace-trim-modal-slip/stone/p4271115]] from Jigsaw, in black, which I wear as a nightie. It's lovely.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/09/2020 20:04

Do the Cyberjammies ones need ironing?

MotherofPearl · 14/09/2020 20:04

Another vote for Powell Craft.
