Pants and trousers ending up in bottom

Advice welcome... I'm a size 12 with a flat bottom. Whatever shape pants (knickers) or trousers I wear, I'm constantly digging them out of my bottom. Tried a pair of trousers on today and while they fitted everywhere else, they were obscene on my bum! I am long waisted which might be the cause of this problem, but with short legs. I definitely look better in dresses but I would like the option of trousers. Ideally, slim fit with a crop. 😱😵😁

Is it the same with high and low rise trousers? It sounds like they end up sitting too high, so you need a change to make them sit lower.

I was going to ask if you have a flat derrier! The wedgie look from joggers pulled up high and crop top is in.

I tend to go for high waisted because low rise on me look like something Britney would have worn back in the day (minus the rock hard abs) And high rise keep me 'tucked in'

@Craddle64 who knew my flat bottom could actually be trendy?! I forgot to put that I'm pear shaped. Does that get me extra style points? 😁

It sounds as if the trousers are what’s causing the problem with your knickers as opposed to your knix having a mind of their own.

Low rise trousers are your friend.

You’re the same shape as me. I can’t wear low or even mid rise as they just fall down. Was so glad when high rise and high waisted came back into the stores.

Are you trying trousers marked as high rise but which don’t actually come to your waist, there are plenty of those around? Also a jeans cut may fit you better than classic trousers which seem to accentuate a flat bum.

The best I’ve found are M&S high rise jeans, and some of the Roma rise in Per Una.

It does vary though, you just have to keep trying. Some places sell tall ranges. That works for most clothing but with trousers the legs are ridiculously long.

I’m glad dresses are longer now. That “on the knee“ length a few years ago was always well above my knees. My knee to foot length is a joke.

Swimming costumes are another problem. Always get the hungry bum look in those. Tankinis solved that problem.

Keep looking OP, and good luck.
