Mascara for contact lens wearers

LunaTheCat · 13/09/2020 23:34

I am a gas permiable contact lens wearer.
Get my lashes tinted but seems to last only 2 weeks.
Mascara with filaments is very irritating if flakes off between eye and lens.
Anybody else have any suggestions?

I wear contact lenses every day and use Diorshow mascara. I've never had a problem with it, it really lengthens my lashes and I find it lasts well. However, filaments suggest you're potentially looking for something a bit bolder?

I have always got on well with Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara but it's quite a natural look. If you're after something more dramatic, apparently tubing mascaras are your friend. There have been several threads about them on here and Sali Hughes wrote about them in the Guardian on Saturday. Apparently they don't shed any fibres, instead they wrap each lash in a little tube of mascara which sets and doesn't come off until you wash it off with warm water.

Yep tubing mascaras. Estée Lauder double wear is great. No.7 stay perfect is the cheap and acceptable substitute Grin

Diorshow

I've worn contact lenses for years and have never had a problem with any mascara - do your contacts make your eyes water? Is that what's causing the issue? But to answer your question at the moment I am using 'They're real' by Benefit.

No7 Stay Perfect
L’Oréal Beauty Tubes

I wear contacts; both are great Smile

First person other than me and one girl at school years ago that I know that wears gas permeable!

I've used No7 stay perfect for years. They do a black/brown too which some brands don't do.

I don't think I've ever had that problem with a mascara. I use Diorshow Pump and Volume currently.
