Lucy & Yak dungaree owners, I need your help!

I have been coveting Lucy and Yak core dungarees for ages now, and I finally bit the bullet and ordered a pair last week.

I’m at a bit of a loss over what to pair them with though. I’m currently wearing them with plain t shirts and my Birkenstock’s, but I want to find some other combinations that’ll see me through winter.

Any ideas?

Bump for this. I was going to get some lucy and yak ones but the sizing flummoxed me as I'm a short arse Grin Ended up getting some petite seasalt ones instead. I've worn them rolled up with brogues, birkies or some converse type things. Think alot wear doc type shoes as well.

I know what you mean, the unisex sizing of Lucy and Yaks is a bit unhelpful. I’m 5’3 so pretty short as well and just took a punt and they seem to be ok rolled up!

Tagging @toastfiend - she posts lovely outfit ideas for L&Y on the 'what are you wearing today?' threads. Have a look on those threads and search for her posts.

I love L&Y dungarees! In winter, I wear them with brogues and a long sleeved tshirt underneath. Ankles get cold on very chilly days though. I don't like how they look with boots, so I don't wear them that way. If it's properly freezing, I just don't wear them unless I'm indoors.

In winter I wear mine (navy) with my cream lace up dr martens, and with a long sleeved uniqlo heat tech top underneath.

I'm afraid to say I don't wear mine in winter. I have to roll them, as most do, and I wear them with trainers. Even with high tops they look a bit strange, ankles bared, with a coat. I'd try tights under but I'd swelter as soon as I got inside a building with the heating on.

I follow the playful den on insta and she wears them, I’ve been toying with buying a pair after seeing them on her!

Dr Martens and long sleeve T-shirt. With cosy coatigan type thing. Sometimes with wool coat

I have corduroy ones for winter - wear them with funky polo necks with polka dots etc and vans/converses. I also pair them with really funky earrings.

Thanks @Ellapaella. Smile

I wear mine with shirts, polo necks, plain and patterned long sleeved tops, anything really. I find the corduroy originals are really versatile so you can pair them with lots of different patterns and styles. In the winter I wear them with DMs, either 8-hole or 14-hole, and tuck them into the 14-holes so I don't get cold ankles. Jackets wise, I find long, chunky knit cardigans, or leather or denim jackets work well over them. I love them, they're so comfy and, I think, really versatile.

Solovairs (similar to DM boots) and long sleeve T-shirt or jumper.

Search for toastfiend and Lucy & Yak for photos of how she wears them.

The sizing guide on the L&Y site is fine. I'm an 8 and fit into S.
If you are buying 2nd hand one, check what logo is on them. The ones with the blue label use a different sizing - the old S is nearer new XS.
