Hand knitted accessories

I know these are not to everyone's taste but I love the look of hand knitted scarves, gloves, etc., like the one in the photo. I am having something made in a chunky yarn and can't decide on colour and whether I want it snood style or scarf. I can pretty much go for any colour as all my coats are either black or cream. I'd love some suggestions!
