Skin is very troubled. What best to try?

Just that really. I’m finding creams/skincare I’ve used On my face for years is causing stinging/irritation/dryness. Nothing’s good for me. Even my Nivea and Simple eye cream are aggravating me. And it’s so dry.

Anyone any suggestions? Wondering about Paulas Choice? Or something vegan. I’ve tried some organic stuff in the past but am now at a loss. Am menopausal too.

I would stick to aveeno if I were you. I think oats is supposed to be soothing. I use aveeno or cetaphil lotion when my skin has breakouts and skip everything else. You can gradually introduce a sun cream in a few days. I like the La Roche kids sun cream. It doesn't cause a reaction (and I don't have to buy a separate one for my son).
Also try to stick to a mild cleanser so skin is not dried out, I like the La roche toleriane one and wipe with a warm flannel.

Yes, Aveeno is my only friend, at the moment. Have also bought some very soft face cloths. Almost like a velour. The Hot Cloth Cleanser Cloths I was using we’re way too harsh. Especially when coupled with the hot water. I think hot water on any part of the skin, isn’t a great idea. My hands used to be really chapped when I was working, always in hot water.

Cetaphil gentle cleanser is a face wash that has absolutely changed my life! When my skin started turning I used it with Avene Skin Soothing cream and Roche posay sunscreen and I cannot recommend enough. The skin soothing cream is, I find, amazing to sort skin out, but Im in the process of figuring out other moisturizers as it doesn't do other jobs iykwim. Best of luck op
