Eye shadow help

How do I choose the right eye shadow colour and apply it? I’m pretty old (ish!) and just want to make my eyes pop! Would appreciate some tips! Got pale skin, red tones in skin, hazel/brown eyes, mousey hair.

Brown, green and gold would work well. Also auberginey and navy shades can look fabulous with hazel/ brown eyes.

As a general rule, if your eyes are crepeing or hooded, matte shades or ones with a slight sheen rather than a glitter work best as they don't sit in lines.

If you have red tones in skin, avoid any browns with a reddish cast to them.

Eye primer. Makes the shadow last longer, not crease and the colour will be true - rather than affected by your skin tone.

Thanks. Any suggestions of websites on how to put it on?
