How/where can I get a necklace made?

I am 50 soon, and for my birthday I would like to get a necklace made to replace one I loved and lost about 15 years ago. It wasn’t “special”, except that I loved it. It only cost £20 from Debenhams, and I paid for it with Nectar points!

It was like those Tiffany “floating heart” necklaces, but it was a star, and a bit bigger and more “organic”. I have a photo of me wearing it. I’ve tried countless times to replace it like for like to no avail, and also have spent a lot of time and/or money on necklaces that aren’t quite right.

How do I find a jeweller to do a commission like this? Anyone on here? < hopeful>

I get jewellery made / repaired/ remodelled at a local independent jewellers. Google your ‘jewellery remodelling’ in your local area, check Facebook for small independent jewellers. Good luck.

I can recommend mine if you are in the NW of England?

@Mellonsprite, if you could. I’m not in the NW but I’m only just the other side of the Pennines.

My husband had a custom ring made for my by Harriet Kelsall. I think they have a few jewellers, but unsure if they only do rings...
