Summer Dressing

Why can't I get this right? I live in jeans so summer is always difficult for me. I think I want cropped trousers but they cut me off at a really ugly part of my legs which I hate. I sweat so need busy tops to distract, I look fat and matronly in skirts and dresses. I'm a uk 14, where am I going wrong, help! Or am I destined to look awful every summer for ever more?

How about jeans in other colours - pastels or white?

You could try cuffing your jeans - it will look more summery than full length.

With regards to tops, maybe you can find solid colour tops in materials and colours that do not show wet patches as much.

I have struggled with dresses and skirts too, but I think it's a matter of finding the right shape, style it well (roll up sleeves for example) and to get used to seeing oneself in a different outfit. Much like getting used to wearing bright lipstick.

Thanks riskit, I think that's some of the problem..,getting used to seeing myself in a different way. It is a struggle to look good at size 14 + though (for me it is- others look great).
