Really nice socks?

I'm looking for a pair of nice, thick, luxurious-feeling socks. Preferably wool or some other durable material in a nice baby pink shade. Any ideas?

I love bamboo socks, really soft and warm.

I tend to buy socks in TKMaxx - they usually have a good selection of nice colours and patterns in nice materials (and some shocking synthetic crap which you have to ignore). I was there the other day and they had lots of nice looking thick pink socks - didn't see what they were made of as I was after black.

I buy BAM socks all the time. They are so soft and comfortable.

How about these pink and purple ones

Alpaca wool or cashmere socks are lovely

Another vote for Bamboo socks. I got mine from TKMaxx.

Brora and Carrymoor both do nice socks.

Bamboo socks. I get mine from Thought for about £5-6 a pair.

You need 20% nylon though, otherwise they wear out really quickly

yakj67 · 12/09/2020 17:40

I think I'm sold on Corrymoor, thanks all!

I was bought some Alpaca socks last year, they are absolutely lovely

XingMing · 12/09/2020 20:28

Corrymoor make the very best socks a person can own. They wash well and never smell, even after several days wear. I get antsy if I put one in the tumble dryer, but they do survive generally.

XingMing · 12/09/2020 20:29

If I don't know what you want for Christmas, you get Corrymoor socks. Nobody has ever complained, unless it was to say that they would have preferred the socks.

I love white company’s cashmere socks for lounging in, but they’re no good for leaving the house & get holes very quickly. But they’re the softest, most lovely feeling socks I have ever worn.

I find BAMs too tight & they don’t have the ‘give’ normal socks do so they’re not comfy at all for me. (I do have a high instep).
