Which hair product do I need

I have fairly long ish straight hair (bra band long) that is very fine and thanks to some long term medication, prone to frizz. When I tie my hair back, it’s usually some kind of messy bun and when I take it down, I have lovely waves/curls. This then either turns into a mass of frizz or just falls out pretty quick.
What product do I need to add to keep the waves/curls in? I don’t want it to be crunchy/wet look/overdone, just a natural look. Is it mousse, gel, wax, some other product I don’t know about? Any recommendations?

A serum would help stop the frizz. Ideally one you can use on towel dried and dry hair if you need to resmooth later on. Can’t help with keeping curls in but if you can improve the texture the shape might last better.

Huge amounts of info on here about the Curly Girl method - look them up & google it - they have very specific recommendations for both products and processes.

Thanks for the replies, I probably wasn’t overly clear in my OP but my hair is very much naturally straight, it’s just wavey/curly when I’ve had it in a bun and I would like to keep the texture in. I think curly girl is for people with naturally curly hair.
@AnneLovesGilbert you’re dead right and after I wash my hair I do use frizz ease in my damp hair to counteract the frizz!

IGK Mistress Balm from Space NK. Conditioning hair smoothing/softening but also styling. It is lovely.
