How to correct the colour of my lips?

I have damaged my lips with constant chewing and now really want to get the natural black. They are darker around the edges where the pink has gone completely. I have got the chewing under control. Is there a way to get them back to their natural look again?

Im not sure, but i would imagine over time they will go back to normal? Might be a slow healing process for the bruising and discolouration but using a good qualoty lip balm and some time is probably the best solution

I think you should ask your gp. It might be a form of chellitis, which might respond to something like hydrocortisone.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have been using lip balm but haven’t seen much of a difference, hence the post. Sad I wonder if there is some sort of tried and restored lip massage/scrub that could help?
It’s definitely not Chelitis. Thankfully, that is not happening here though I will discuss this with my GP just in case.

Try a gentle scrub of brown sugar and any oil then load with lip balm afterwards. Can’t guarantee it will help with the colour but it’ll help the general health.

Maybe it’s post inflammatory hyperpigmentation? If so, it will naturally fade but will take a while. In the meantime, use lip scrubs and keep your lips well moisturised. Lush’s pink one slightly tints your lips so the dark corners will be tinted pink, making it look more similar to your natural colour

Thanks @MsEllany. I will do this scrub and will report back.
@Healththrowaway199, can you please tell me which product from Lush? Is this the one? uk.lush.com/products/lip-scrubs-balms?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqdCkurPe6wIVRuvtCh1IAwtlEAAYASAAEgKGgPD_BwE

Thanks!
