I have been gifted some money and I badly need a new hairdryer so I'm considering purchasing a GHD or Dyson hairdryer. Did you have either of these, do you rate it?or is there another brand you can recommend?

I don't have either, I have a Parlux and I love it! About £80 and it's the best hairdryer I've ever had. I just don't see how a Dyson can be five times better!

PARLUX!
Love it so much. I have the lightweight ish one (the £100one) it's heavy but my gosh it is wonderful

I have the dyson and the Parlux. The dyson isn't any better and definitely not worth a £200 premium.

I have the Dyson and think it’s amazing. Dries my very thick hair quickly and I barely need to straighten it afterwards.

Parlux here too, it does the job quickly

Ghd helios is awesome. As is the Air. The Air is the cheaper of the two and the original. Its £99. The helios is £159. Previous to getting the helios I used the Air since it was released so around 6 yearsish I think. In that time I've probably had to buy 3. (Professional) and use an Air as my personal dryer. And I use the helios at work.

The helios really is a great buy. I'm in love with it. It's light and fast. Gives way more shine and it's so easy to use.

GHD also have amazing customer care and replace equipment within their 1 or 2 year guarantee. No issues or quibbles. And it's rather straight forward as well.

Dyson here. It dries my hair really well and my hair is much less damaged than with previous dryers. I haven't tried the others but family members who have other dryers always prefer to use the Dyson when they can.
