Chelsea boots recommendations please

I love a Chelsea boot and wear them all winter. I need a good sole (preferably rubber) as I walk a lot.
I tried the DM Floras but one was too big and the other too small. I've seen Hush ones at John Lewis today but only online and am nervous to spend £160 without knowing anyone who wears them. I'm not a fan of Fly London.
Can anyone recommend me the holy grail of a sturdy, comfy, stylish, practical pair please?

I’ve just bought DD the junior Doc Martin Chelsea boot. She’s thrilled with them and the sole seems very comfy. Up to size 5 they are £75. Much more expensive for adult sizes.

Timberland! I have had a pair of London square Chelsea boots for two years and they are still super comfy! They do different style chelse boots too

I love Wills vegan shoes. I have a pair of Chelsea boots from there, only pair I have ever liked. I got the pointy toe, slightly dressier one though. But they have sturdier ones though. All my boots from Wills Vegan so far have been easy to break in. Have only owned them one winter so don't know about durability yet.

These are a bit different - with a chunky sole/heal, but I love them. Worth a look.

I love Shoe Embassy

Extremely comfortable with excellent leather. I tend to get blisters with any brand new shoes, but never with them. Their sandal are also amazing.

Barbour Rimini! I have 2 pairs. I used to love the original Ugg Bonham boots but they have changed them now and made them really wide around the ankle Confused

Have a look at pikolino, some are a bit old fashioned but the vicar boot is nice, I've just bought the lace up version.

I have these from (don’t laugh) Ecco. I saw them in the window, and they are just perfect - I bought a backup pair, they are so good. Super soft leather, and actually quite similar to DM Flora which I had but just couldn’t get on with.

I got some really nice Gabor ones for a bargain on Amazon. They've got a chunky sole if you're looking for something DM like.

Craftycorvid · 09/09/2020 23:24

Blundstones?

Ninkanink · 09/09/2020 23:36

Timberland is my go-to.

Ninkanink · 09/09/2020 23:38

Oh and Barbour do nice looking ones but I’ve never had any so can’t personally recommend.

GrimDamnFanjo · 10/09/2020 00:08

Any wider feet people got any recommendations?
