Be honest! I have been made redundant due to Covid unfortunately with little prospect of finding something new soon. ....I have no intention to blog or vlog although I do enjoy watching or viewing these channels. I was told by a family member today, quite aggressively, that now I am out of work I should blog (in the most ignorant manner, she has NO clue, it is a word to her.) I actually am quite into fashion but I would never have my photo taken so my question is .. if I bought a haul from say ASOS and posted photos online of the clothes hung up or laid out and never actually photographed on me/never see my face or body at all would you be interested? Personally I would like to see the clothes worn on the blogger to be truly interested in the blog..? Just wanted to get a few more opinions, thanks! X

Probably not. You could perhaps look at something related to the current situation - low budget interview outfits or similar to create a niche? Linked to your interests and circumstances. Just an idea. Don’t let us put you off.
If you’re hoping to monetise it though, you need a very clear plan and focus to generate followers etc. Good luck.

I guess the main problem for me is I don’t have my picture taken ever 😔 so most channels would be far better with pics.. but this idea would be popular right now so you should look into in it maybe.. thanks both of you ☺️

I look at blogs to see how the clothes look on real people rather than models so I'm sorry to say, no it wouldn't be for me.

It sounds a little boring tbh. Honestly though I'd give it a go. You'd be surprised what people will read/watch. I often read blogs to see what the clothes look like on someone who isn't a model paid by the store. ASOS hauls and putting it into an outfit would work? For different events/budgets/styles etc. Posting photos with your face in could boost your confidence!

I hate flat lay pics etc on blogs. I don't mind someone posting SOMETIMES in this style but if it was all the time, I wouldn't follow.

Have a look at Fashion Mum if 40 - she rarely shows herself wearing the clothes.

I really dislike haul videos, it’s also a bit tone deaf now.

A blog sounds a good idea but not one on an Asos haul.

I too look at blogs to see how clothes look on a person. Could you not take photographs of yourself trying on the clothes but not showing your face?

Viewers like to engage with the blogger as though its a friend so anonymous won’t work.

No to the blog. I think it's tone deaf now too. Can you tell us more why you think you can't get a job? That's concerning. Your self-esteem sounds a bit low. There are helpful, knowledgeable people on the employment threads, who would give advice on applications, moving for a job, your CV etc.

On the blog - absolute no from me too. I would be far more interested in a how to look good and dress for a new job on a low budget in a super sustainable way blog. Have a look at useless.dk - she is Danish and all casual but that type of vibe
