Has anyone else ordered from this site? www.everything5pounds.com/en/
I've had a few bits so far and everything has been at least ok and some things great. A pair of jeggings I ordered had a split along a seam but that was easily repaired. A skirt I ordered was ex-topshop with the label removed!

I've got a bit obsessed and have a few orders on the way. I'm hoping to get a decent back to work wardrobe for not much at all. Anyone else had any particular successes or failures from there?

I ordered a couple of times and got some nice things and some tat. Things I was pleased with included a burgundy dress from New Look (not a shop I ever think to look in but I've worn it a lot), a lovely black blazer with no brand label apart from "made in England", fab khaki slim cords from Bennetton, stone coloured chinos from M&S (didn't fit but passed them on to a friend), nice chunky boyfriend cardigan that I didn't recognise the brand of, pair of silver Converse-alikes, a nice stripey jumper from George that I've worn a lot. Oh and a really nice Vero Moda denim shirt dress thing, must dig that out again for autumn. And a pair of tiger print trainers.

I've also had a couple of pleather Primark skirts that were fine but just didn't fit, and a couple of unbranded dresses that were nice but just not me.

A few bits were clearly crappy quality, cheap fabric and very flimsy but you have to pay for postage on returns unless you return the whole order so it wasn't really worth sending them back. They just went to the charity shop.

I've got loads from there. I've had a couple of cheapy pairs of trousers but most of it has been good quality high street or catalogue style brands. The returns process is tricky to find on the website but it works and I've had prompt refunds from them. I've only had to return stuff that doesn't fit. Both my older girls are in adult sizes too so I get stuff for them as well.

I love it, great for office wear. They're good on returns too.

Kittywampus · 07/09/2020 23:02

They sometimes have free delivery too. I often browse but have never bought anything, I don't have the patience to trawl through to find the bargains.

BunnyLovesBananas · 07/09/2020 23:16

I didn't know about this

I'm very excited

managedmis · 07/09/2020 23:18

Do they do international delivery?

NotJustACigar · 08/09/2020 08:10

I think they do managedmis as someone on Facebook mentioned ordering from the USA.

I think there are two ways to get good stuff on this site - the first is to go on the Facebook page and see what stock is going to be released the next morning. If you like anything get in there early before it sells out.

The second is to read reviews and go for things that people mention being ex-high street. I'm sure they don't publish all their reviews as the only ones you see are 5 stars but the text of the reviews they do publish can be pretty informative.

In either case I always check the material as that's always listed and try to stick to stuff that's all or mostly cotton.

I'm addicted - I ordered a few bits yesterday including this. Is it nice? Can't really go too far wrong for a fiver www.everything5pounds.com/en/Vertical-Striped-Midi-Cotton-Dress/p/685249

I followed your link just to be nosy, then had a look at some other pages. Found myself thinking 'that's nice, how much is it?'

I used to do it in pound shops as well Blush.

I have had things from this site , and always been happy with everything. You can usually tell from the photo's if a garment might be cheap looking and ill fitting with the said type of material it's made from etc. i have had an assortment of things from this site including shoes and sandals, and they have all been ok for me.

NotJustACigar · 08/09/2020 14:45

Agreed you can usually tell from the photos if something is going to be poor. They take their own photos (so you can't just do a Google image search to find out where things were from originally). I won't buy anything where either you can see the stitching isn't very good or (in the photos I find really funny) where it looks like the model is absolutely miserable to be caught dead in the item.

Yes I’ve used them a few times
I’ve had :
Topshop blouses
New look jeggings
H & M tops
Mango tops
Primark dresses

All fine and worth the money

maisythehorse · 08/09/2020 17:09

I once bought a pair of shoes which broke on me on a day out, I expect it's cheap because of defects and poor quality.

emilybrontescorsett · 08/09/2020 21:43

I've had several pairs of shoes from them, all fine.

NotJustACigar · 09/09/2020 16:23

One of my orders arrived today. The trousers are from M&S and I love my new dress!
