£1k for yourself - what do you spend it on?

Let's assume that through a fairy godmother, or hard work and saving, or a lucky win, you have £1k to spend on something memorable for yourself. What would you get? A Mulberry bag, a watch, an iconic DvF dress? Or jewelry maybe?

I'd love to hear about your 'one day' items

Mid face fillers and a cut and colour

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 07/09/2020 22:09

Louis vuitton neverfull OR Tiffany's pearl necklace OR laser hair removal. One of the three for sure.

I was gifted a bit of money lately.
I've purchased an IPL machine and I'm going to get a keratin treatment at the hairdresser.

Previously when I've splurged its was on some snakeskin grenson boots, and had my perfect leather handbag made by an excellent local designer maker.

Im not broke but anything over £150 on myself has to be a special buy x

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 07/09/2020 22:30

Toast cashmere, Liberty print shirts and real leather boots and belt. And cashmere wrist warmers.

MrDarcysMa · 07/09/2020 22:30

Oh and some designer sunglasses. Gucci/Celine, something you'll take care of and keep forever x

Ooh or teeth whitening ! Actually 1k wouldn't last me very long at all

fiorentina · 07/09/2020 22:37

At present probably teeth whitening so minor alignment and some Botox, I’m bored with seeing myself on Zoom meetings and feeling I could do with a pep up.
However I’d also love a classic Chanel handbag or similar if I was to buy one item.

Diamond studs

lakesidefall · 08/09/2020 02:07

Antique jewelry for me, it outlasts everything else.

A new front door. Mine has a huge hole that lets the cold in.

If I had to spend it on S&B, a ring. But I really need a new front door.

tearinyourhand · 08/09/2020 03:44

I don't think I could bring myself to spend that much money. Not because I'm against spending money but because I'd be crippled with indecision as it's such a lot of money for me.

I think I'd probably spend it on a personal trainer, as my clothes would look better and it would improve my health. Oh, and maybe a couple of hundred pounds on Botox for a stubborn frown line.

crochetmonkey74 · 08/09/2020 09:18

I think I would go to the jewellery quarter or The Lanes inn Brighton and get myself a gorgeous ring or necklace- probably antique

Floisme · 08/09/2020 10:21

Assuming it was all for me and not to be spent on anything worthy or functional, then I think I'd try and get something bespoke made by a traditional tailor, although what 1K would buy me I don't know.

YoureBreakingMyHeartCecilia · 08/09/2020 10:47

Laser hair removal! Wink

winterisstillcoming · 08/09/2020 18:22

A skin peel, and a John Lewis personal stylist session.

FirmlyRooted · 08/09/2020 18:43

I have read through all your responses after a manic day at work and will spend this evening doing A LOT of online browsing and daydreaming. There are some amazing things here. Let's hope we all win the lottery!!
