So, my dd2 is getting married end of next month. Due to covid the actually party is being delayed until next September when her brother should be able to return from Australia, but for now we are having a private ceremony in the garden of her fiance's parents (the party will be there too) with just immediate family.

Very rural.. think small holding, and there will be goats, ducks, geese, hens, dogs, a couple of highland cattle Grin.. it suits them perfectly and will be lovely.
And cold I suspect!
Now it IS a very casual affair .. smart casual and wellies are order of the day, but I have no idea. I'm just about to buy some decent ariat boots for winter dog walking anyway, and thought I might get a nice tweed coat to go over trousers and a plain shirt. Does that sound ok? (for reference DD1 has a short wedding dress belonging to my Mum and doc Martens!) I'm tall and skinny and like the idea of a House of Bruar 3/4 length coat or similar?
