I want to try Vitamin C I don’t want to spend the earth incase I don’t get along with it so after reasonably priced recommendations.

Also is Vitamin C suitable for all skin types?

Superdrug. It’s cheap to start with and often on offer.

RedDiamond · 06/09/2020 20:40

Just DON'T go to beauty salons that advertise Vitamin C injections!!!!! They are not trained in anatomy and just stick it in, regardless if there might be a vein or a muscle there. They don't know what the are hitting.

These injections are mostly obtained illegally and are counterfeit,

Try any old vitamin C supplement from Amazon. That way you won't end up with Hepatitis through unclean needles.

@RedDiamond sorry I meant Vitamin C facial serum’s.

Thanks @PurpleDaisies - I’ve just had a quick look I’ve seen Superdrug do two. Need to see what the difference is.

Garden of Wisdom, The Ordinary and the Inkey List are the brands which have been forerunners in dropping the price of serums etc.

The "best" type of Vit C is L-Ascorbic acid and you need a % of the active ingredient or it's not worth it. Many products say they're vit C but the active won't be high enough or stable enough.

I am currently finishing a Garden of Wisdom which is 23% vit C and ferrulic. Truth be told, it didn't do as much for me as Vichy Liftactiv which is only 15%

I hated The Ordinary vit C.

TheSeedsOfADream · 06/09/2020 22:47

The Superdrug one looks good for the price and the fact it's Ascorbic Acid.

Tellmeagain · 06/09/2020 22:51

I use the same Superdrug serum as the one above and it's great. I looked at the two they do a while ago and I thought the difference was the % of the active ingredient.

I really like this one, it's £10. First one i've tried that didn't make me peel!

Revolution @ Superdrug x

TheSeedsOfADream · 06/09/2020 23:47

Just looking at Nadine Baggott's latest insta thread and someone asks her about the Superdrug one and she has replied it's great, and great value for money.

MrDarcysMa · 08/09/2020 22:01

If you mean the one in the orange plastic dropper bottle PP it smells great but I didn't see any results from it and there's no % listed in the ingredients so if kind of explained why it was so cheap to me.
The stronger revolution one from Superdrug is effective I think
