I really need to up my outerwear game. I've realised I need coats for dog walking, general mooching (to shops, popping in and out) and a more formal/dressed up coat.

What are you all wearing / lusting after?

I have lots of nice wool coats in many colours, plaid, plain, belted... but none of them are warm enough. So ive just bought a north face thermoball hoodie to wear under my coats. So that's the route im taking this winter. I hope it works. I dont want to wear a big parka as i feel v frumpy in a parka.

I have 4 coats/jackets in my wardrobe that pretty much cover me for every eventuality...a smart grey wool coat, a black North Face puffer, a black leather biker jacket & a classic beige trench. All are very versatile and don't date.

I have a long navy waterproof for dog walks/wet school run, a wool camel coat for shopping/smarter dinners, denim jacket for cooler days in spring and summer and a thick padded belt one for cold days and a soft grey leather jacket for casual nights out. Feel like I've finally sussed outerwear at age 47 Grin

I have just got a Craghoppers Mhairi. It isn't glamorous but it feels like wearing a duvet and I know I am going to wear it constantly this winter.

I googled that craghoppers mhairi and it looks like a nice parka as they go, as nice as more expensive ones. I liked the fjallraven kiruna parka which is v similar to that craghoppers mhairi one, but the fjallraven one much more expensive.

Nothing yet, it's too warm.

I have moved from t-shorts to long sleeved tops though.

I find macs/trench in beige and black works with most things. If I'm not wearing denim on bottom half I might wear a leather, suede or denim jacket and when it's colder than that a proper winter coat.

If I'm travelling to a colder country i take a puffer coat and gaix furs. Also have a cool shaggy jacket.

Have a collection of about 30 coats and jackets.

I hate wearing coats, am quite warm blooded. I have a very small/functional collection. Two joules coats, one wool parka style and one shorter waterproof jacket. Then a sailing jacket for on the water. That's pretty much it.

julieandertoninthewarehouse I might copy your collection Grin

I likely should have said, I'm fairly north in the UK so we've started to experience a few more cold and windy days which is why Im now reassessing
