Longest lasting rose perfume.

I love Rose smell (and taste) I've had various rose perfumes before which were pretty cheap such as yardly and Crabtree and Evelyn which smelled of rose. They were cheap enough to jus re spray regularly but I'd like one which was longer lasting in the way my other perfumes are. I tend to buy Chanel and Annik Gutal perfume which last ages on my skin so I'd love a long lasting rose or rose based perfume. Any suggestions please?

I suggest layering in order to get the scent of rose to last. Rose body lotion, rose deodrant etc. Weleda is strong. Or buy some essential oil and dilute into a base oil like joboba.

Jo Malone does a lovely rose fragrance but my absolute favourite is Paul Smith Rose, a discovery I made last year. It is gorgeous and I am regularly stopped and asked what I am wearing.

Are all fantastic Roses that last. Tobacco Rose also has ambergris and Oakmoss so it's not just Rose. Whereas my nose interprets the other two as pure rose. It's worth reading about them on Fragantica and maybe trying samples first.
There's also a French perfume company called Rosine that do a multitude of Roses. They do fantastic sample packs that are well worth a punt.

Two that work really well are Bvlgari Rose Essentielle and Estee Lauder Modern Muse which is heavily rose-based.

Also Fragonnard do a straight Rose scent which is maybe a bit longer lasting than the light ones you mentioned, but less intense than the ones I suggested.

I really like the smell of Paul Smith Rose, but it just doesn't seem to last on me.

Stella Mccartneys Stella perfume is stunning.

I love Paul Smith Rose, it’s my everyday perfume and I am regularly complimented on it. It’s not overly strong but lasts quite well.

Tom Ford does one called Cafe Rose which I have only smelled in selfridges as it’s too expensive for my budget, but I did get a supposed dupe of it from the Christmas markets of all places and that is lovely too. I bet you could find similar online.

4160tuesdays do a few which I have. I also have the French rose samples mentioned above and a Miller Harris. There's also Ho Malones red roses.

Jo Malone won't last because it's cologne.

Good old YSL Paris will last and is one of the rosiest roses IME

Portrait of a Lady is a powdery rose that lasts but it's very sweet and heady.

Hippie Rose lasts days!

Angela Flanders does several different rose perfumes. They're all beautiful

I love Neon Rose by Floral Street.
It smells of old fashioned roses & their greenery, particularly when you cut the stems of roses.
Though bizarrely no actual Rose was used in the creation of Neon Rose.
The notes put together to give the Rose smell are
Pear, Galbanum, Bergamot, Cassis Kir, Apple Blossom, Sichuan Pepper, Cyclamen, Juniper Berry, Jasmine Egypt, Angelica, White Cedarwood, Peach Nectar, Crisp Amber

Byredo products last well. I’m not sure if they have a perfume in the same pure rose scent as their Rose hand wash and lotion, but they do have some rose based ones.

Stella McCartney and Paul Smith Rose are obvious recommendations.
Estee Lauder Modern Muse is nice, but hasn't got a drop of rose in it - it's a jasmine-honeysuckle scent.
I also like Al Rehab oils - they are cheap and last. I use Roses (which is a heavy, deep rose) and Moroccan Rose (a fruity rose). Miller Harris Rose Silence and Penhaligon's Elizabethan Rose are lovely too.

Jo Malone Red Roses does last very well - far longer than many of the JM colognes. There is a fantastic JM set (A Chronicle of Red Roses) which contains Red Roses and several smaller bottles of complementary scents. I have it and it's excellent.

Chloe perfumes are fantastic roses. Also, if you like musk along with rose then Narciso Rouge is amazing

I love Rosamor by Oscar de la Renta. Very sweet and romantic, old-fashioned rose scent. Easy to buy as a set with the body lotion for layering.

Just seen Dior advertising a new perfume, Rose & Rose's. I remembered this thread so thought I would mention.

Ecoudray Jacinte et Rose is gorgeous, smells like real roses, always get stopped and asked what it is I'm wearing.

Dior Rose and Roses smells divine and is on my xmas list!

Aqua di Palma does a beautiful rose scent. Long lasting but expensive.
