I'm looking for a new mascara, nothing too expensive, what are your best high street recommendations?

I use Maybelline Sensational and it’s under £10. There are a few within the range depending on what you want but they’re effective and long lasting.

TeddyIsaHe · 05/09/2020 07:12

I just got No7 360 lash and I was hugely surprised at how good it is! I usually go high end, but trying to save some money.

Will definitely repurchase.

Stargazer87 · 05/09/2020 08:34

I'm the same, usually I go high e d but wondering if there are some cheaper good alternatives out there?

That Maybelline one in the bright yellow tube. Best I've ever come across.

Branleuse · 05/09/2020 08:37

Essence ( wilkinsons) no more panda eyes

thisstooshallpass · 05/09/2020 08:37

The maybelline once in the green and pink tube.

I love essie (Wilkinson’s) in the black tube with purple writing, I think it’s call “I need a miracle”. It’s the only one I’ve ever bought multiple times.

Prettybubblesintheair · 05/09/2020 08:39

Oh sorry it’s essence not essie.

GlassOfPimms · 05/09/2020 08:49

Rimmel extra super lash is excellent for the money - under a fiver, goes on well and has never given me panda eyes!

Otherwise I don't think you can go wrong with Maybelline mascaras. They're all pretty good for the price.

I've always been a bit disappointed in higher end mascara!

damnthatanxiety · 05/09/2020 09:24

Do you need waterproof or regular?

Stargazer87 · 05/09/2020 09:53

Just regular is fine...

Another vote for Wilko’s Essence but Lash Princess. It’s far better than any of my expensive ones and is an absolute bargain!

PeartreeProductions · 05/09/2020 10:44

I'm using Catrice Glam and Doll false lash at the moment but there is a gold one from primark that is very good too. In fact I find a lot of the primark ones good and crultely free too.

dangerdestroy · 05/09/2020 11:01

Yy to the Maybelline green and pink one. I have pretty fine, fair, shit lashes and this is as good as it gets.

QueenPaws · 05/09/2020 11:05

Essence lash princess (green writing)

WiserOlder · 05/09/2020 11:08

I like the benefit one. But I have used the catrice one as well and I liked the way that went on. Mascara is something I don't spend big money on.

Lemming20 · 05/09/2020 11:12

I like Barry M showgirl. Under a fiver and cruelty free Smile

YogiMatte · 05/09/2020 11:21

I always get Rimmel as others irritate my eyes.
Dd reckons benefit is the best .

pangolina · 05/09/2020 12:05

I like L'Oreal architect. My fave ever high st was Bourjois ultra volume but it's very hard to come by now.

dangerdestroy · 05/09/2020 12:48

I agree with @WiserOlder. I don’t spend big money on mascara anymore. You have to change them every few months - it can add up! So the green and pink Maybelline is for me.

Same. I buy this time and time again. If I ever deviate I’m disappointed and always go back to this one.

Essence lash princess
