Josef seibel shoes ? Are they any good ?

Think they are a german brand. Seen a couple of pairs of lace up boots that are in the sale so quite a bit knocked off. They are bog standard brown chunky boots, 'biker style combat boots ' as the blurb says, probably more fashionwear than for wearing in the rain and snow but hopefully warm. Some of their shoes/ boots are ehem ... quite quirky and colorful....Just wondered what the quality was like and whether to size up or down - am a 5.5. Not known for my fashion sense so awaiting to be told they're a bit of a dowdy make Tried to do a link but won't let me. Called the sandra , but not with furry lining....

I have a pair of sandals by them, they are incredibly comfortable, soft leather and really well made.

A lot of their styles are a bit old fashioned, but they do have some classics that stand the test of time too.

Thanks cherryup, agree that there are some quite dated styles but some of the boots aren't that different from big trendy names in John lewis. Think I'll just have to bite the bullet !

I have two pairs of their boots and two pairs of sandals. They are comfortable, very good quality and true to size.

Have had 2 pairs of their suede lace up ankle boots. Funky enough to allow DD to declare them "cool" and the comfiest boots ever. They last ages and are worth a few £££ extra

I have some lace-up boots that also have a zip in them. I 😍 them. Most comfortable boots ever. I went up 1/2 a size. Absolutely live in them when not wfh

I think German brands like Josef Siebel and Gabor are very comfy and perfect for me as I have wide feet. They can be a bit frumpy but I choose to walk a lot rather than use a car so don't mind that much.

Hmm, mumsnet is making me browse for boots that I don't need
