Which No7 foundations for me?

BaconAndAvocado · 04/09/2020 17:51

I have a money off voucher for a No7 foundation.

Lift and Luminate or Protect and Perfect.

I would like a full coverage but no stickiness or heaviness. Would either of these be any good for me?

I am 51. Oh, and I would like to hide my ever growing pores please!

Does it have to be one of those two? I'm about your age with big pores 😞and like the Hydraluminous more than the Protect and Perfect

I used to love the compact one but they discontinued the palest colour & now they’re too dark for my colourless pallor.

I have lift and luminate and stay perfect. I love love love the dewy finish of the luminate one but the stay perfect one is a better coverage when put on thinner.

Ponks is Hydraluminous a full or medium coverage ?

I think it's more medium than full, I used to use Doublewear and it's not as full as that, but just has a lovely finish.

I've tried Lift and Luminate (I love the skincare range) but the foundation was very average.
Hydraluminous is my new holy grail. It's absolutely beautiful and much nicer than much more expensive medium cover but glowy foundations.
I believe L&L is aimed at the over 40s while P&P is for younger skin (at least that's what the skincare says)
If you want Boots full coverage you need the one called stay perfect or something like that.

I love the Beautifully Matte Mousse one - I have oily skin so the more liquid foundations don't sit right on my skin. The No 7 matte one is the best I've found - I stock up as much as I can when there's an offer on in case they discontinue it! If you're going in store to test a few then I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Luminous here
Tried the pricier protect and perfect but still preferred the luminous.
Very build upable !
Fifty plus here
It's not holy grail foundation but for £14 it's okay.

I'm mid-40s. I've got the Lift & Luminate, Hydraluminous and Protect & Perfect, all in my quest for the perfect foundation! I previously used Lancome Teint Miracle but was looking for an alternative when they changed the formula. I was talked into getting the Lift & Luminate on the beauty counter, based on my age. However, I find it a bit tacky putting on. Hydraluminous is my favourite, followed closely by Protect & Perfect. They are not full coverage, which I did previously prefer, but I have to say, now that I'm working from home full time, I find the coverage pretty good (especially if I put some powder on top). It's medium coverage, but it can be built up. I've tried loads of other foundations looking for the perfect one, and Hydraluminous is the closest I've found to the perfect I'm looking for

Another vote for hydraluminous here. It's medium coverage imo and goes on well. I'm 44.
