I need some autumn/spring shoes that will survive a lot of walking. First port of call was DMs, but my goodness, they've put the price up again! Are they trying to turn them into a luxury product?!
Anyway, I have a pair of patent 1460s which somehow got ripped up the back. I've tried stitching them up, but it hasn't worked that well and it probably really needs a patch. An alternative would be to take a knife to them and attempt to make them into shoes. Has anyone done this or any suggestions? Google draws an almost complete blank, apart from 14 down to 10 eye for motorcycle boots.
Alternatively, if you can recommend some smartish shoes that will survive 6 months pounding pavements but don't cost so much that would be awesome! The last pair of Clarks I had lasted 4 weeks.
