What make up do you use for your brows?

What do people use to ‘draw’ on their eyebrows? pencil, gel or powder? I’m absolutely rubbish at doing mine & am never happy with them. I’m currently using a pencil but they look crap every time. I don’t think it helped that I over plucked when I was younger Sad
I don’t like them too bold or in your face, I like them quite natural.

Would love to have them microbladed one day but just haven’t got that sort of money atm with two young kiddies.

Would like to know what people recommend?

Thanks Smile

This is a before and after of my non existent scarred eyebrow, then with wunderbrow fiber filler. If it’s wet outside or I’m going swimming I use the gel instead

Benefit Goof Proof.
It's the only one I've found where the colour is spot on - I have discarded so many which were too dark, too reddish....
I like the fact that the pencil has a flat bit and a sharp bit, and doesn't need sharpening.

Benefit gimme brow

I just use an ordinary eyebrow pencil , either Mayberline, or Max Factor, and if the point is too sharp, I just scribble it down a bit to make it softer for using.

I have used the same Rimmel eyebrow pencil in a mid-brown for about 23 years. I get my brows and lashes dyed monthly now but during the months where we couldn't I was back to using my trusty pencil only.

Wunderbrow from Wunder 2 cosmetics(online). £19.99 unless they're running a promotion/discount. Comes with applicator and spiral brush. I use a shade lighter than my natural brow colour. Also their fibre filler powder is good in filling what's left of my eyebrows out. Nobody has actually realised that there is any makeup on my eyebrows so they must look natural!

Wunderbrow to fill and Anastasia to outline/define shape top and bottom. Sometimes

ValkyrieCain · 08/09/2020 17:47

Oops, no sometimes...

I've been doing my eyebrows for year, and have tried loads of different products. But I always come back to my Rimmel eyebrow pencil. Its cheap, its a good colour for my brows ( I use Hazel/Taupe) and its easy to use.

Brown eyeshadow, I have naturally thick, dark brows but they’ve got slightly sparser in my 40s, so I just sweep a bit of shadow over them. Never had any issues with smudging.

Benefit gimme brow. My eyebrows are greying so it reduces my badger look.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 08/09/2020 20:15

M&S or NYX brow pen; twists up on one end and the other is a spoolie. I need dark grey since my eyebrows are black but black itself looks daft. I went to the Benefit counter once and they practically laughed me away, since everything is brown/blonde. I was also a teen in the 90s so overplucking has left me with sparse bits!

Tazmania77 · 08/09/2020 21:41

I use natural collection eyebrow pencil from boots but when I can be bothered I use maybelline tattoo brow which last 3 days. Good for when your going swimming or holidays etc. Same as you though I'm saving for microblading as would like to wake up and not have to draw them on!

Maxabella2 · 09/09/2020 00:14

I use boy brow and think it’s great but dries out so quickly!
Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative that’s just as good?

MrsGimpy · 10/09/2020 11:52

Nyx pencil (the one with a brush at the end) is my favourite after trying a few. I have black eyebrow hairs, but very sparse and chicken pox-scarred, which is a bit of a nightmare. They have lots of colours, and the dark brown is grayish rather than orange, so looks natural when you're filling in a lot. I'm sure they have great options for lighter haired people too.

Benefit! All their stuff is amazing! I started using it after seeing Anna Saconne Joly using it - if it's good enough for her....!

LightOfAThousandStars · 10/09/2020 21:49

I was using a Bobbi Brown Eye Pencil with a spoolie on one end but switched to a Barry M one a few months back called Brow Wand and it's just as good plus comes with a tinted gel on one end.
