Blue shampoo anyone?

My hair is mostly grey and I colour it a shade called light ash brown. I think it looks quite good when I have just done it, light brown with golden highlights.
However after about 10 days it starts to go gingery which doesn’t suit my skin tone at all.
I’ve been reading that you can get blue shampoo which is supposed to tone down the ginger.
Just wondered if anyone had used it? Did it work? Did it stain towels etc?
Thanks

Yes, I’ve used it to take the brassiness out of a balayage before now. Do it about once a week and as long as you rinse it properly it won’t stain your towels.

I’ve started using the Elvive hair mask, it’s awesome.

Thanks all, so it looks like it does work.

I've used the Charles worthington one but it stains your hands so need to use gloves. Hence me only using it twice in 6 months Grin
