For dd1 nearly 11 who has bum length hair which gets very knotty. She likes the wet brush but I think a bigger paddle brush might be easier for her? She moaned about it hurting a lot though so a gentle one please

Has she tried tangle teaser?

We've got the Denman Tangle Tamer (boots and other retailers). It's very good - strong, firm bristles but not too spiky! Cuts through DD's waist long thick hair.

Mason Pearson

Aveda paddle brush which is excellent or Mason Pearson, both are gentle on my hair and I do struggle with knotty hair. I only use these on dry hair though.
