Non-padded, non-wired, non-lacy first bra for DD (11yo) - 28D/30C

DD has been wearing cropped tops but she's starting to need a bit more support. I'm really struggling to find anything to fit her that isn't wired or padded.
Any suggestions wise women of MN?
TIA

Dd had M&S Angel bras, they do 30C. They are lightly padded but that wasn't an issue

Look at Boux Avenue, think it’s called a lounge bra

Thanks but she definitely doesn't want padded.

What about sports bras

lekkerkroketje · 03/09/2020 12:55

Calvin Klein do good bras for smaller sizes, although some are rather heavily branded. Otherwise bralettes (e.g. Sloggi or even H&M) with a good band might be a good cheap option, especially if she's still growing

lekkerkroketje · 03/09/2020 12:59

This has padding but it's removable and is otherwise plain and sensible. All the bras I've had from h&m have had removable padding.

I have recently posted this exact issue! My DD is 28D and this seems to be a black hole in the bra world, she too wants something plain, not cerise, nor too lacy to wear under a school shirt. We ordered an m and s sports bra (padded, but we thought we'd try it...), but let me assure you, when it arrived that was most definitely not a D cup (it was far too small).

We ended up getting this one: www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-gentle-support-julia-non-padded-t-shirt-bra/white/p4905105?size=30c in 30C from John Lewis, but it's not perfect, a 28D would be better.

Muji or Uniqlo.

Thanks Janek. It's really hard isn't it?! All she wants is a plain, white, cotton, non-padded, non-wired bra to give her a bit more support than a cropped top but such a thing doesn't seem to exist! I'll check out that JL bra. Thanks.

Thanks. I think Uniqlo are all padded (I get mine there) and they're quite loose fitting (I get the 30" back but it feels much looser than that) but I'll check out Muji.

Primark sports bras are like this. I have black ones but I think they do white too.

BlueCowWonders · 03/09/2020 17:12

But does she really need more support? Bralettes are what a lot of teens/ younger women wear, with a sports bra for a change

bendmeoverbackwards · 03/09/2020 17:54

That John Lewis one is underwired though isn’t it?

CupoTeap · 03/09/2020 17:55

We had the John Lewis tones really nice start ones at a great price

WhereAreWeNow · 03/09/2020 18:20

Yes, I had a look and it is so that won't work.

You might be right. Maybe the bralettes are enough for now. I can't find anything more supportive that fits the bill anyway.

These are great. Supportive but not to flimsy

*too!

dementedpixie · 03/09/2020 18:25

They start at a 32 back

dementedpixie · 03/09/2020 18:33

www.belle-lingerie.co.uk/royce-skyla-bra/ its a moulded cup rather than padded

bendmeoverbackwards · 03/09/2020 18:41

OP don't rule out a bit of very light padding or moulding. It avoids nipples showing which some girls find embarrassing.

dementedpixie · 03/09/2020 18:52

I agree moulding/light padding stops nipples being on display. Nude bras also stop the bra showing through white blouses
