Twist of the waterproof coat question - petite

I just ordered a couple of coats in the Trespass sale - big winter parka and a shorter lightweight autumn type parka jacket. Both waterproof.

Neither fits me quite right. I am short (5 3) and very short waisted and fairly pear shaped. Where the coat waist is is where my hips start so the coat is tight over my hips/bum but if I size up it's massive everywhere else.

I really need a petite fit coat but the only 'proper' warm waterproof hooded coats I can find in petite are lands end and I don't really like them much.

Can anyone suggest a good place to look? The coats I have are of the practical variety which is what I need really but I do t want practical and badly fitting! I need a bit of shape or else I look like a swamped barrel.

Oh and ideally not navy/khaki/black. My trespass parka was a lovely teal colour.

Not everyone's style but I have a Seasalt coat in their petite range and it fits great. I'm 5'2'.

I do think some of the styles can be a bit frumpy but I'm sick of drowning in coats that don't fit me properly where the arms are too long and the waist is on my hips!

I bought it from John Lewis in London but they had them online last year.

Land's end is a good option for petite clothes. I am pear shaped myself, 5'1" and I managed to get stuff that actually fits.
