And it makes me look lopsided. What can I do to improve it or stop it getting worse?

This is called ptosis. Is it new? It could indicate a medical issue so if so go to the GP.
Congenital ptosis is harmless but cosmetically upsetting. There are make up tips on you tube, but I got surgery through my optician. It is much much better but still apparent when I am tired.
I have come to accept it will always be part of me, I hate it, avoid eye contact but tbh need to get on with it. I know another woman with it who is well groomed and I don't notice it as everything else about her is lovely, she has lovely hair etc.
Focus on the rest of you and pay no attention to photos.xxxx
