What treatment do I need?

I get very thick black hairs that grow on my neck and I really want to get rid of them. I have to pluck them out with tweezers every day more or less and it makes me really self conscious and they're so thick it's painful to pull them out! I don't know what would be the best treatment to go for? Any advice welcome

Laser is really effective for dark hairs but you have to shave the area before hand, so if they are more sporadic hairs electrolysis might be better. Might be more cost effective too to have electrolysis as you pay per minute of treatment generally. Which may be better if you have sporadic hairs

I'm currently getting electrolysis on my chin hairs and you need to have it regularly at first but it makes a difference

Perhaps try a lumea? If you have dark hair it would work.

Is there an underlying medical reason why they grow? Such as a hormone imbalance? Might be worth looking into if you haven't already, in case some form of treatment would sort it. Otherwise would agree laser.

Research DIM supplement.

Thank you for the replies. They are very very thick so I think I would need a salon treatment rather than using a home device. It's a small patch on my neck so not the whole area but I have to yank them out they grow so thickly. A skin specialist did tell me before that the more you pluck them out the thicker they grow but I've put off treatment as have been pregnant on and off for the last two years so wanted to give things a chance to settle but they're worse than ever. I did have suspected pcos when younger but it was never confirmed. I lost quite a lot of weight and the symptoms got under control but the hair has always remained unfortunately and I just want to get it sorted once and for all now! The DIM supplements sound interesting, I wonder if this could work for me. I do think it probably is a hormone imbalance so I'm not entirely sure electrolysis would get rid of the hairs forever? They are very dark though and I'm fair so I was also told that's the most effective combo as the laser can find the hairs easily? The skin is quite sensitive there which is another concern
