Selling 925 Sterling Silver Jewellery advice needed

I want to sell some sterling silver jewellery, it’s not all in the greatest condition (some tangled up necklaces/chains, some of it needs a polish) but I have A LOT of it Blush

I don’t have the time or patience for selling individually on eBay or similar and given the Covid situation I’d rather not sell in person as I struggle with mask wearing.

I’m looking at those on-line/postal services, I know I won’t get as much £ but as long as I get rid of the stuff and don’t get massively ripped off I’d be happy enough with that.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to which are most reliable/reputable/pay a reasonable price?

No, but I’d advise you to take it to your nearest auction house instead.
You’ll get a fair valuation, can put a reserve price ( the lowest you’d be willing to accept) & would be able to sell as much or little as you choose They’d also advise you how to split it into different lots to get the best prices. It’s in their interest to get you the best price possible as the buyers commission they earn will depend on this.

I don't think you'll get much at all for silver jewellery. Looking at scrap prices it's 40-50p per gram.

Thanks both, some of it is ‘scrap’ but some is decent Art Deco type stuff (though not antique) and some of the rings are quite weighty and set with semi precious stones so an auction house might be the best idea.
