Stylish waterproof coat recommendations

Hi, I'm not very outdoorsy so I tend to lean towards long wool jacket style coats (and just rely on not really going out in the rain Grin) but I've got a theme park trip coming up at the end of September and, whilst I can hope and pray as much as I like for gorgeous warm autumnal weather, I have to accept I might not get it...

So, do any of you have any recommendations for cheap (unlikely to wear it that much), stylish and waterproof coats? Ideally, I'd like it to have a good hood.

Thanks Smile

Debenhams have a sale and their cragghoppers range are good. Have you looked at Joules, Seasalt and Uniqlo.

Protected Species - not cheap, but gorgeous, stylish and properly waterproof, made by women for women; what's not to love!

If they are too pricey, Trespass jackets are really quite technical and fantastic value for money.

Thanks all. I've had a look and nothing is massively grabbing me... Doesn't help that I don't really know what I want!

Out of all of your suggestions, Trespass seems to have the most things that I half like so I'll prob go and have a look in there (I've got a branch nearby).

It's not stylish exactly but if you won't wear it much I have just bought a pac-a-mac from Mountain Warehouse to go to Alton Towers this month.

The darker colours are a bit more subtle!

Honestly in your position I would just take a pac a mac and throw it over whichever jacket you do like if it starts rain. No need to look stylish at a theme park in the rain!

Joules usually have great waterproofs

I have Protected Species and Uniqlo raincoats, both definitely waterproof and have some good styles.

Mountain Warehouse do good outdoors coats and they don't all look too outdoorsy

Iles Jacobsen... I stopped a woman last year to ask about her rain coat, it looked that good!
