The ‘big announcement’ appears to be that the SBS sisterhood is closing and the group will now cost £6 a month. £72 a year seems so steep - disappointing that I thought access was almost part of the analysis I paid for and now it’s being taken away unless I pay more. Wondering what others think?

Just came over to see of there was a thread on this. I had been considering analysis but don't think I'll bother now. Seems a bit steep.

Mamagotskills · 30/08/2020 20:48

The analysis was good but a bit cut & paste so I found looking at the right shapes/ colours on the page helped massively. I had booked a personal shop (cancelled because of Covid) don’t think I’ll reschedule now sadly

She's lost the plot. The comments section is full of people saying they can't afford it/don't want to pay it/think its a bad idea. The facebook group will have been bringing in so much business and now she's gone behind a paywall, its all gone a bit secretive.

Lumene · 30/08/2020 20:55

Not happy as someone who had an analysis and would have potentially spent more.

Agree it will be bringing in business.

A middle tier would be better, where SBS add additional value.

Mamagotskills · 30/08/2020 20:55

It’s a really strange choice, almost like moderating the discussion/controlling every aspect is the most important thing

There seems to be a bit of a trend towards this from influencers - didn't Clemmie Telford do something similar?

I'm disappointed. I feel like I'm no longer their target market and I've been pushed out. I agree with you OP, I did find my analysis helpful but a bit cut and paste and generic too so I loved the group for filling in those gaps left from the analysis.

glowinthebark · 30/08/2020 21:24

There's an interesting thread on this going over here:

More Style Less Susie http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/styleandd_beauty/4004748-more-style-less-susie

Honestly cannot believe she's done this to what used to be a successful business.

LightOfAThousandStars · 30/08/2020 21:25

Very disappointed to see this is the 'big news'. A lot of people have saved up for an analysis and see it as a 'treat', there is no way everyone can pay monthly to be a part of the community especially when so many have lost their jobs it seems like a bit of wrong timing.

ChequerBoard · 30/08/2020 22:00

Surely she's just killed her business by doing this? Most people seem to join the FB group before booking and paying for a styling analysis session. If there's no FB group, how will she get new customers?!?

Ihave2dogs2cats5dc · 31/08/2020 04:47

The fucking group never allowed me in. Always wanted to see what its about.

Mamagotskills · 31/08/2020 18:54

New self indulgent post up now too, they just aren’t listening.really sad
