Fun toddler boy clothes?

Now that my little boy is 2, all the little boys clothes seem to have become really boring- blue, grey or paw patrol.
I still want him in colourful prints while I can! Where’s best for fun clothes for little boys?

I love Frugi, got some lovely things in the sale.

Babs709 · 30/08/2020 11:36

Fred and Noah every time.

There are lots of small business on Instagram that are worth checking out.

My mini explorers
Little pud and toots
Little wild fin
Hainmade
Porridgeheads
Zack and Ivy
Little foxtots clothing

If you start following a few you’ll probably find more!

I love Frugi for boys (never pay full price!) and have recently discovered Kite - they have a fab 50% off everything end of season sale and I’ve found the quality great too

George at asda have some really nice bright clothes.

heidbuttsupper · 30/08/2020 11:38

Another vote for Frugi. A lot of the organic brands are much more fun - Duns, Maxomorra, Villervalla. They’re mostly available online. Kite and Toby Tiger are fun too.

Depends how much you want to spend but Mini Rodini and Bobo Chooses are always fun. Polarn O Pyret has some nice things too. They wash well and are resellable.

My boys are older so harder to find second hand stuff but you may be able to find decent used items on eBay in these brands as well as Alex and Alexa outlet.

John Lewis toddler boy (goes up to age 3) is really lovely, as is JoJo Maman Bébé (goes up to age 5-6).

Mine is in a t-shirt from Tu at Sainsbury's today. It's green and was in a pack with electric blue, yellow, and red.

He also wears Blade and Rose leggings, Gap, and Jojo Maman Bebe t shirts. I like the organic brands mentioned above as well as one called Lucy and Sam.

All the scandi brands eg Duns, maxomorra, moromini, etc
Frugi, kite, Toby tiger

VeggieSausageRoll · 30/08/2020 17:27

I buy a lot of Frugi, villervalla, Toby tiger, kite, Duns and maxomorra. I tend to do colourful tops and single coloured bottoms, not a big fan of clashing prints! Most have a good resale value too, there's specific buy and sell groups on Facebook for all of them. Plenty of time for him to wear grey and black when he's a teenager!

bookish83 · 30/08/2020 18:15

H&M and Lindex

M&S do neutral nice prints sometimes too

NameChange30 · 30/08/2020 18:19

I have managed to find some nice colourful boys' clothes on the Next website, it helps to filter by colour (I look for red and green as they suit my DS and I like them, I also just filter out grey and blue sometimes). They often have joggers and t shirts in lots of colours. And I got him a cool t shirt with sequins on that we both loved (too small for him now sadly).

NameChange30 · 30/08/2020 18:23

Also Boden but it's pricey so I look out for sales and discount codes.

User07 · 30/08/2020 18:45

H and m, Zara, m and s. I find boys clothes hard. They seem get worse as they get older too!

FairfaxAikman · 30/08/2020 18:51

Duns, Maxomorra and Villervalla.

Frugi is nice too but tends to be a bright colour with appliqué detail rather than prints.

There's a huge second hand market for Scandi clothing - I buy almost all of ours that way as it feeds in to the ethical ethos of those brands.

This is one of our favourite prints and shows how bright it can be

I buy from the girls section - DS loves bright colours that we do rarely find in the boys section

Babs709 · 30/08/2020 20:39

This is great, hadn’t heard of a few of those!

My DS is 14 months and I swear 75% of the hand me downs we’ve had have not only been blue but stripey. Everything blue and stripey! To nicely match my nursing clothes which apparently have to be blue stripey too. We’ve matched far too many times 🤦🏼‍♀️

NameChange30 · 30/08/2020 20:40

Oh god yes, the older DS gets, the harder it is to escape the stripes 😬

BullshitVivienne · 30/08/2020 20:43

Blade and Rose
JoJo Maman Bebe
Teeny Bees Kids
Piccalilly (often have sales on)
Fred and Noah
