Tret - avoiding the purge

I've started tret through Dermatica. I've been using Paula's Choice for a few years, so hoping my skin is already used to being bombarded with stuff.
I'm just really hoping to avoid the purge/massive peeling stage. I've always struggled with my skin, so the thought of it going haywire does cause some anxiety.
I would be really interested to hear positive experiences in this respect, if anyone would be happy to share?
Thanks,
Ags.

I've been using Dermatica for about a month, and haven't had any massive reaction/peeling, so you might be lucky!

Start off by applying moisturiser first, wait 30 mins and then apply a pea sized amount every other night. Then after a couple of weeks, build up to every night, then gradually increase the amount. Then gradually start applying before moisturiser.

I tend to peel on my chin and on my forehead. If I notice it starting - I either have a night off, or apply moisturiser first to that area. The other thing that really works for me is to wash my face gently every morning and evening and massage the cleanser in for a minute before rinsing - I find that really helps with any flaking skin.

And don't forget SPF!

Thank you - feeling more reassured!
