I am looking for comfortable shoes that I can wear to work when I wear all navy clothes. I don't want heels but I want the height, so this kind of thing (see photo) works for me, except these are too light in colour. Min height at least 5cm; trousers don't look right otherwise, and I look too stumpy. Grenson shoes are usually a possibility but the ones available on sale in my size (6) are not high enough and I can't afford full price ones.

I do want something that's good quality, budget around £120, must be leather. Would love some suggestions, and also, feel free to give your opinions on these type of shoe.Smile

I have a couple of Geox ones. Clark’s also do some (but I am very heavy on my shoes and they don’t last well with me).

joeysapple · 28/08/2020 08:26

I've got some lovely Clark's ones. They're called Hero Brogues. £65, leather, and the white soles are rubber so very easy to clean.

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 28/08/2020 08:28

Thank you both. I have already checked Geox and Clarks and they don't have anything. The Hero ones, whilst lovely, are only 3.5cm high unfortunately.

Can you get ones like the one on the photo re-soled? I used to wear shoes with the crepe soles when I was a teenager and when the heel wore down they were unwearable.

I have a couple of pairs of Kurt Geiger ones - dark silver pair and a tan pair. Very similar to these

Moshulu do some lovely ones that are also very comfortable to wear.

beguilingeyes · 28/08/2020 09:17

Camper?

Londonborncatty · 28/08/2020 09:21

Russell and Bromley

Have a look at Rogue Matilda. Tad more expensive, but beautifully made.

monkeyonthetable · 28/08/2020 09:24

Are these too girly?

SerenityNowwwww · 28/08/2020 09:31

Oh I like those!

BambooWhoosh · 28/08/2020 09:47

How about DMs? Lots of colours and designs available. I've never owned any, but lots of people rave about them

Rogue Matilda

cad186 · 28/08/2020 12:01

Carvela?

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 28/08/2020 13:48

Thank you for suggestions so far.
SerenityNowwwww, thanks, already have shoes like that, but really not at all what I am after right now.

monkeyonthetable, thank you, no, not too girly, but much too low. I need at least a 5cm platform.

Never heard of Rogue Matilda so I have taken a look, but there's nothing high. Nothing high enough in DM or Camper either. I have also checked Kurt Geiger, Carvela, Aldo, Office, Zalando & Russell. Dune have one that it's just too light in colour and 1cm too low, but so far the closest.

What about something like these Geox shoes?

Queen thank you but sorry, I really dislike those shoes. The hidden wedge makes me think of goat hoofs. Silly I know, but I can't help it.

I saw some really chunky platforms in the DM shop in Covent Garden the other day. They have these two tone platform brogues which I think are fab. Any good?

monkeyonthetable · 28/08/2020 16:20

Look at these Only £69 in the sale and in your size. They have to be right!

monkeyonthetable · 28/08/2020 16:21

Now down to £55!

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 28/08/2020 17:06

Monkey good finds! DM fab fab fab shoes but not high enough. The others... hmmm... just a tiny tiny bit too low and they're even lighter in colour than the originals I linked to. Tempted though...

I’ve never bought from YesStyle but they still do dupes of the Stella McCartney Elyse which are non-leather

Member · 28/08/2020 18:56

Amazon have ones like the photo in your op but in tan

Member · 28/08/2020 18:57

Sorry, I misremembered them, they aren’t really Blush
