Buying one for my newly blonde god daughter as a nice little gift. What's nice and do you buy shampoo and conditioner?

I use the Lee Stafford ones, they have 2 shade types depending on the tone of blonde. They have an extensive blonde-related product range. I use conditioner too because I like a good set but I'm not convinced it does much.

dixiedo · 27/08/2020 23:25

Fudge clean blonde. I love it.
I'm not a full blonde but it keeps the brassy tones out of my coloured hair. I bought it from hairdressers but amazon sell it. Smells lovely.

contactusdeletus · 27/08/2020 23:53

Such a nice idea for a present! You get through vats of purple shampoo as a blonde. The battle against brassiness is very real!

The Redken Blondage purple hair mask is what I swear by. Tones and leaves your hair soft and shiny. You can buy it online or in salons, it's well worth the effort

I use fanola and its amazing, tried it after watching YouTube videos and reading reviews online.
Highly recommended it

PickAChew · 27/08/2020 23:56

If she likes lush, daddy-o is lovely.

Cookiedough123 · 28/08/2020 00:00

Fudge without a doubt. I've tried quite a few and its the best one I've used. Dont leave in for two long though !

Cookiedough123 · 28/08/2020 00:01

Have to correct... too not two 😂

Allihearischasemarshallskye · 28/08/2020 00:08

Another fan of fanola here. You can buy it from amazon .

Aridane · 28/08/2020 00:50

Fanola No Yellow is the best and a great present as a) it’s the best, and b) not available in the shops

Maybe also include some disposable gloves as it is fantastically purple

alula · 28/08/2020 00:54

I use Bleach London Silver Shampoo and it's great for keeping the brassy tones away.

Winglessvulture · 28/08/2020 08:01

I second the Lee Stafford stuff mentioned above. I personally use the hot shots and the bleach blondes conditioning spray which help maintain the colour, and then use the Coco loco shampoo, hair mask, conditioner, coconut spritz and light serum spray to help keep my hair in good condition.

All those items smell amazing, and it's frequently on 3 for 2 in boots.

Eloisedublin123 · 28/08/2020 08:03

Sorry to hijack but are these suitable for grey hair too please?

CharlottesComplicatedWeb · 28/08/2020 08:05

Fudge. Don’t bother with the John Frieda one.

Aria20 · 28/08/2020 08:09

Are any of the purple shampoos silicone, sulphate and paraben free?

CeeceeBloomingdale · 28/08/2020 08:12

Yes Eloise, all good on grey hair.

Osmo is the most pigmented. I like Bleach London Pearlescent.

GroupSects · 28/08/2020 08:17

I use Bleach London, got it on offer in Boots in a set with the conditioner.

PickAChew · 28/08/2020 08:30

I use mine on my salt and pepper hair as it gives it a nice sheen. Only once a week or so, as a clarifying wash, though, as I usually use a sulphate free cleanser.
milkysmum · 28/08/2020 08:44

Fudge violet shampoo. I buy a huge 1litre pump dispenser one on Amazon that lasts ages.

Tell me what's a lovely purple shampoo?
GoldenGumballs · 28/08/2020 11:10

milkysmum do you need the fudge conditioner too or is the shampoo & any other conditioner ok?

milkysmum · 28/08/2020 11:19

I tend to just use any conditioner to be honest.

GoldenGumballs · 28/08/2020 11:42

Smile Thanks

nitgel · 28/08/2020 11:47

2nd lush daddy o

EraOfTheGrey · 28/08/2020 15:46

I vote for Fanola and I've tried lots of other brands.

I use Charles Worthington ColourPlex Toning Ultra Violet Shampoo, which is CG approved.
