Jeans for an hourglass

Can any of you ladies recommend some nice jeans (on trend preferably) for 5'3 hourglass. I've pretty much lived in skinnies for the past 5ish years, but I think they've kind of had their day and I'd like to try a different style. I hate shopping for jeans with a passion. I normally go for something with quite a lot of stretch as well.

My issue is I've got quite curvy (chunky) thighs, hips and bum, but a small waist, so I find it very hard to find something that fits in the hips and the waist. I'm quite self conscious of my chunky lower half so would like something that doesn't accentuate the curves that are already there. I've also got a terrible c-section pouch. My style is quite classic. I tend to go for tailored pieces and more of a sophisticated look, but like casual as well - just not frumpy. I am not a fan of mom jeans as I think they make your ass look massive.

Any ideas??

Forgot to say I'm probably about a size 12 if that makes a difference

Following as I’m in the market for similar jeans! I’ve not tried any on yet as I have 5-10 lockdown lbs I’d like to lose but I’ve been considering Levi’s 724 (which are high-waisted straight leg but one of the smaller openings compared to their other straights) and Gap cigarette jeans. I find jeans that go straight down from my thighs make me look huge like stovepipe legs... I need it to fit in the thigh and then be looser in the calf iyswim. I’ve not seen any bootcut jeans that don’t look huge at the bottom (my legs will be a sideways bowtie 😭).

Don't know what your budget is but my best rec for hourglasses is J Brand Jeans, style not as relevant they just do stretch really well as well as a good selection of dark denim so most things work. Look out especially for the photo ready finish, that really holds you in well without being constricting at all.

Paige denim is also good but haven't seen that in quite some time. Mih jeans if they're still trading, thing they may have had a reboot.

If you're coming from skinnies and are a fairly conservative/classic dresser then probably best to branch out to girlfriend fit (skinny but slightly looser), straight fit (per description but I find on an hourglass less straight and more like a girlfriend fit on other people, where a gf ft can be difficult to tell apart from a well worn skin y). Boyfriend fit (closer to a straight fit on an hourglass) and kick flares if you're feeling daring (at your height they won't be as cropped and will fit like a slight boot cut that will also read more like a straight fit on other body types).

OP you are same shape and height as me. I will follow with interest as I am also fed up with skinny fit. It's so hard not being able to try anything on!!!
